Cancer Survivor Wellness
A 7-week health and wellness program designed for adult cancer survivors who have recently become deconditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and the disease itself. The goal of the small group series is to help participants build muscle mass and strength, increase flexibility and endurance, and improve functional ability. The program is designed to strengthen and support survivors on the road to recovery after their treatment regimens. Babysitting Training Course

Participants will learn leadership skills, safety and first aid, basic care skills, playing safely and interviewing skills. This course is an American Red Cross course, and certification will be given for those who meet all the requirements of the class. Please bring a sack lunch and snack. Class meets 9a-5p

CPR for the Healthcare Provider

This class includes one and two-person CPR, bag, valve and mask; AED and response to choking. This class is for lifeguards, medical professionals, instructors, etc. American Heart Association Certification.

HeartSaver CPR/AED

Adult/Child, Infant CPR and response to choking are included in this class for the layperson. This class meets the requirements for Michigan Day Care licensing. American Heart Association Certification.

HeartSaver First Aid

This class teaches basic first aid for Adults including environmental emergencies. Students learn how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes prior to the arrival of professional help. American Heart Association Certification.

Lifeguarding

All participants must meet the minimum age required* as of the first day of class and swim 500 yards. The course includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and First Aid certifications. Actual class dates are arranged by the aquatic department.

YMCA of the USA, the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense launched the Armed Services YMCA and Department of Defense Outreach Initiative addresses the needs of families of deployed military personnel who live far from a military installation and require access to child development, family strengthening, and health and well-being programming. The Outreach Initiative provides for families and individuals to receive memberships at full-facility YMCAs in their communities lasting up to 12 or 18 months depending on eligibility.

COLLABORATIVE Partnership
Employer subsidizes a portion of the monthly membership fee for 12 months; dollar amount determined by employer. Minimum of 10 employees required to receive all benefits.
